Booking Your Accommodation
People who visit Magnetic Island usually prefer to book their own accommodation. There are many possibilities for accommodation on Magnetic Island including backpackers cabins, hostels, resorts, B&B's, serviced apartments and houses for guests up to 8 or more people. The workshops and meals will be predominantly located in Nelly Bay. When you book your accommodation, you may have to make your own way to the workshop venue. You can also hire a car or a motor cycle or just take the bus which is very regular and costs only $0.50.

Musical Styles
Gary has introduced his community choirs to a great variety of music from pop to classical and everything in between including gospel, folk, jazz and world music. Participants will be surveyed on their particular preferences in order to achieve the best balance of styles. It will be a wonderful musical adventure - mostly acappella - always interesting - occasionally challenging.
Where we will be singing
The workshop space will be in Nelly Bay, which is a short distance from the main Resorts. If you choose to book your own accommodation, you might like to book somewhere in Nelly Bay. Everywhere on the island is 10 minutes from the rehearsal venue via the local bus which costs on $0.50 per trip.
Swimming
Magnetic Island has a reputation for beautiful mild sunny days and safe swimming conditions during the cooler months from May to October. Magnetic Island brings mild, dry, and sunny winter weather. Daytime maximums average a comfortable 25°C (77°F), while nighttime lows drop to a cool 14°C to 17°C (57°F–63°F). Rainfall is very low (around 15 to 25 mm for the month) and skies are mostly clear.
